Matthew joined Bell-Knott originally in 1996. He holds both a BA in Interior Design from the American College in London, England and a professional Bachelor of Architecture (BArch) from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. After practicing architecture for nearly a decade, Matthew returned to complete an MFA in Theatre Design from the University of Iowa.

From his experience Matthew has learned that architecture is more than plans and sections, it is only a successful environment when users are given spaces that compliment their work function.

Matthew is seldom seen without a hat. Even inside.
